In October 2022, Ford USA sold more Mustang Mach-E models than in 2021. The Mustang Mach-E overtook the latest Ford Mustang models with V8 and four-cylinder eco boost, referring to some US car registration statistics. In 2023 the seventh Ford Mustang generation will be launched. In Germany, the new Mustang model will be available in the Summer of 2023.

Coilover kits that are adjustable in compression and rebound aren’t only for motorsports or too complicated for amateurs. Nevertheless, there are many so-called social media- and forum engineers that know it all better. But people who have some real expertise in topics regarding suspensions and coilover setups know that most of those self-proclaimed experts are mostly more from the hardparking businees.
A damper that can be adjusted individually in compression and rebound has many more reserves to control dynamic vertical movements while driving. With dynamic vertical motions, the deflection of the wheel is addressed.
Basically, everybody with only a little coilover knowledge knows that dampers transform the motion energy of the coilover spring into thermal energy. Thanks to individual and separated settings, everybody can influence the driving characteristic of the Mach-E within a few simple steps.
The coilover setup is optimally pre-adjusted for the electric SUV when we manufacture the coilover. Nevertheless, every driver has a unique driving sensation, and one can take that kind of sensation into account with the KW V3. Simply said, the task of the rebound is to connect the chassis of the Mustang to the road. The compression has an influence on the deflection of the springs and supports the body of the car.
When you adjust the rebound valve in the KW V3 with the adhuster knob on the piston rod, it significantly impact your vehicle’s handling. Depending on your preference, your Ford can either steer more responsively or feel slightly more indirect with the 16 click steps. The rebound setting also affects the relaxation rate of the suspension spring, determining how quickly it returns to its original position. This feature is crucial for achieving the perfect ride for your car’s suspension system.
Using the integrated compression adjustment wheel located on the lower suspension housing, you can manually fine-tune the compression setting. This feature offers a total of twelve clicks to customize your Mustang SUV’s performance. By opening the compression valve, your car will dive into turns more quickly. However, if you close the compression setting, your Mach-E will be even more supported, providing better stability during turns and greatly improving overall driving safety.

What’s special about the KW multi-valve-technology for compression and rebound is that we use non-adjustable high-speed valves to provide additional damping when driving the Ford Mustang Mach-E over rough roads or bumps. The pre-configured high-speed compression damping allows for quick compression during sudden dips while preventing the tire from losing grip due to overly stiff low-speed compression settings.
