For all models of the Porsche 911, even all air cooled Porsche 911 and Porsche 356, KW automotive offers with our KW coilover kits one of the biggest ranges of height adjustable coilover kits with adjustable dampers.
Whether you are looking for a kit for your vintage Porsche 911 (F Body) or Porsche cars like Boxster, Cayman, Cayenne, Macan and further Porsche cars – we get you covered.
Our latest development: the KW Variant 4 coilover kit with three-way adjustable KW shocks for all Porsche 911 Carrera, Porsche 911 Carrera S, Porsche 911 Turbo, and Porsche 911 Turbo S of the latest Porsche generation 992 is out now.
Our KW Variant 4 coilover kit, gives the iconic sports car from Zuffenhausen an advantage in driving dynamics combined with sporty rolling comfort. Even during demanding driving maneuvers with rapid load changes, negotiation of tight curves, or on fast highway sections with transverse joints, the Porsche 911 remains on track and easy to control.
On undulating asphalt surfaces, the KW Variant 4 coilover suspension harmoniously dampens and prevents bumpy driving behavior. Any pitching and rolling movements of the vehicle body are reduced. The KW shocks of the coilover kit are adjustable separately in the low-speed compression stage, high-speed compression stage and low-speed rebound stage.
With our three-way adjustable dampers and multivalve technology, we have much more flexibility in setting up a road suspension application for all Porsche 911 drivers with the best compromise between sporty driving dynamics and ride comfort.
Thanks to the sophisticated KW valve technology in our shocks, the latest Porsche 911 can be driven dynamically everyday while driving in conjunction with maximum lowering. In addition, the sports car gains further driving safety in the limit of driving physics.
KW multi-valve technology directly ensures more driving dynamics and rolling comfort
The three-way valve technology of the KW Variant 4 coilover suspension is based on our KW automotive developments for the selected car manufacturers and GT3 race cars. As a result, this valve technology gives us completely new options in the design and development of aftermarket coilover suspension kits.
With the separate damper adjustment, adjustable in driving dynamic parameters such as the high-speed and low-speed compression stage as well as low-speed rebound stage, the entire Porsche 911 driving behavior can be adapted to individual requirements with the KW Variant 4 coilover suspension.
All our aftermarket suspension and motorsport developments are tested on both the road and racetrack as well as on our KW 7-Post vehicle dynamics rig (also known as vertical dynamics test rig and 7-Post rig). In the YouTube video above, we are simulating a ride on the Nürburgring Nordschleife with a Porsche 911 GT3 R racecar.
In Porsche customer sport, for example, similar KW shock absorbers with KW multi-valve technology are used in the 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport, 911 GT2 RS Clubsport, Porsche 935 and 911 GT3 R.
When adjusting the compression damping at the KW Variant 4, a distinction can be made between slow piston rod movements (low-speed compression damping), such as occur when steering, and fast damping speeds (high-speed compression damping), which can occur when the suspension is compressed by bumps in the road.
The adjustable low-speed rebound stage has a direct influence on the operating speed when the piston rod is released. It controls how quickly the suspension spring relaxes back to its initial position. In a manner of speaking, the diameters of the rebound valves are opened for a more comfortable ride and closed for a stiffer setup.
As documented in the parts certificate, the Porsche 911 Carrera and Porsche 911 Carrera S can be lowered from 20 to 35 millimeters at the front axle and from 15 to 35 millimeters at the rear axle. The Porsche 911 Turbo and Turbo S can be adjusted 20 to 35 millimeters according to the certificate.
