Next weekend, January 31st to February 2nd, 2020, Australia will be the epicenter of Motorsports. At the “Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour” also KW racing technology homologated GT3 and GT4 racecars are part of the starting grid.
With a length of 6.213 kilometers (3.861 miles), the narrow racetrack with its uncommon layout in “New South Wales”, which was opened in 1938, winds around Mount Panorama.
All participating racecars at the “Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour” have a tough race ahead. They all need to overcome every lap a vertical difference of 174 meters from the lowest to the highest points of the track and grades as steep as 1:6.13.
The end of the highspeed passage Conrod Straight is one of the most spectacular sections of the Mount Panorama Circuit and the fastest corner combination in Australian Motorsports is “The KW suspensions Chase”.
“The KW Suspensions Chase” presented by our official Importer in Down Under Scuderia Autoart is one of the toughest and challenging action zones at the upcoming race weekend. A feast for all motorsports fans with plenty of overtaking and braking late. This section also requires the ultimate in suspension control as the GT3 cars fly though the right-hand kink at more than 280km/hr.
The actual race will start on Sunday, February 2nd 2020, just before sunrise at 5:45 a.m. local time (AEST); thanks to the time difference, you can already start on Saturday, February 1, at 7:45 p.m. (CET).
With four customer motorsport teams, Porsche will compete at the Australian endurance classic and send five Porsche 911 GT3 Rs homologated with KW motorsports dampers to the Mount Panorama Circuit.
The KW Competition racing suspension used in the Porsche are four-way full-adjustable solid piston racing shocks.

This year, the driver’s seat is shared by the two 2019 champions of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, Earl Bamber from New Zealand and the Belgian Laurens Vanthoor as well as the Australian local hero Craig Lowndes.
