For many years, the suspension manufacturer, KW automotive has been a supplier, development partner, and motorsports partner for selected BMW vehicles like limited series models and motorsports projects. KW automotive has gained excellent expertise with its diverse aftermarket chassis among BMW drivers and BMW tuners.
Many BMW enthusiasts appreciate the fact that we develop height-adjustable sports suspensions, known as coilover suspension kits, with part certificates for so many models with BMW xDrive drivetrain. Recently, the first KW coilover kits with stainless-steel struts have also been released for the BMW M235i xDrive Gran Coupé (F44, F2GC).
The KW Variant 1 coilover suspension and KW Variant 3 allow maximum lowering. The adjustment range covered by the technical parts certificate for legal road use is 25 – 45 millimeters for the front axle and 20 – 40 millimeters for the rear axle.
The KW Variant 1 coilover suspension kit ensures the 306 hp BMW presents sporty handling, reduced pitching and rolling movements, and a more direct road holding. BMW drivers who want even more ride quality in everyday life to upgrade to a KW Variant 3 coilover suspension kit.
With our KW Variant 3, we are one of the few suspension manufacturers that use multi-valve technology in the shocks. We achieve more sensitive damping and at the same time offer the possibility of adjusting the driving behavior of the M235i xDrive Gran Coupé to personal preferences.

Only with a few coilover suspension kits is it possible to adjust the compression and rebound damping separately for an individual suspension setup. While the adjustable rebound can be used to influence how quickly the chassis rebounds when changing loads, it also has an influence on the handling and how the body is attached to the road.
In the KW Variant 3, the low-speed range, of the two-stage rebound valve, can be adjusted with 16 precise clicks. By low speed, we don’t mean the speed driven, but the speed of the piston rod movement.
Separate from the rebound valve, the low-speed compression stage damping can be tuned with twelve clicks. It influences the body roll when turning, the pitch when braking, and also when accelerating.
Long bumps can be taken into account in the damping setup via the compression stage damping. The KW Variant 1 coilover suspension and KW Variant 3 allow maximum lowering.
