The comfort of an adaptive suspension control with the performance of a KW coilover suspension is combined with the electronically adjustable KW DDC plug & play coilover suspension from the KW Street Comfort product line.
Also the KW Variant 1, Variant 2, and Variant 3 coilovers from the KW Street Performance product group are already available for the latest VW Golf GTI.
The KW coilover suspension kit DDC plug&play is compatible with the VW DCC suspension control. The KW shock absorbers and KW dampers are connected via the plugs.
The entire control of the adaptive KW DDC valves runs via the VW on-board electronics. Depending on the driving mode, the GTI drives more sporty or more comfortable. The dampers also adapt autonomously to the driving situations.
The KW DDC plug & play coilover suspension allows continuous lowering from 20 to 45 millimeters. A lowering of 45 millimeters at the GTI is equal to 60 millimeters lowering of the normal Golf 8 models.
KW Variant 1, Variant 2, and Variant 3 coilover suspension kits with manual adjustment
The same approved stepless lowering is also offered by KW Variant 1, Variant 2, and Variant 3 coilovers from the KW Street Performance product group.
The difference between the three coilovers is in the details because as with all height-adjustable sport suspensions from KW for the VW Golf 8 GTI, the suspension struts are made of stainless steel.
At our location in the Swabian town of Fichtenberg, we have a vertical range of manufacturing of over 95 percent, and in contrast to other market players, we manufacture our coilovers exclusively to order.
While the KW Variant 1 dampers manufactured at KW do not have adjustable compression and rebound valves, the KW Variant 2 dampers are equipped with two-stage rebound valves, and the KW Variant 3 dampers include two-stage compression and rebound valves.
This allows the KW Variant 2 and KW Variant 3 dampers, with their 16 clicks of rebound and 12 clicks of compression adjustment, to be fine-tuned directly by hand in a more sporty and comfortable way.
With all four KW coilover suspensions available for the VW Golf 8 GTI (CD), roadholding on the freeway, country roads, and even rough side roads become significantly sportier without major loss in residual driving comfort.
