We’re delighted that KW Brand Ambassador, racing driver, and co-founder of charity Spinal Track, Nathalie McGloin, has been nominated in The Sunday Times Sportswomen of the Year Awards 2020.
Nathalie is shortlisted in the Disability Sportswoman of the Year category, which recognises outstanding performers in disability sport.
Nathalie is paralysed from the neck down and in a wheelchair. She races her Cayman S 987 equipped with our 3-way motorsport kit in the Porsche Cup and enjoys driving her 964 equipped with our Variant 3 coilovers in her free time.
“When I’m racing I leave my wheelchair in the pits. When I’m lining up on that grid with my helmet on, no-one knows I’m female or have a spinal injury. I’m just another driver – and that’s the way it should be”, says Nathalie.
The Disability Sportswoman of the Year accolade is awarded by a panel of expert judges with scores of Olympic medals and sporting records held between them. To honour the winners, an online awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday 25 November at 18.30 GMT.
